ISTA recognise one of our own…

We have great pleasure and delight in congratulating our Commercial Manager - Mr Nathan Barlow on winning this year’s prestigious ISTA President’s trader award.

The photograph below was taken just before collecting his award at the annual ISTA luncheon, held at the Brewery in Chiswell Street, London on Friday 30^th November 2018.

He was nominated by our Commercial Director – Mr Steve Tinley, who forwarded a plotted career history and provided the detail on the reasoning why he felt he should be shortlisted, this was granted and thereafter sat in front of the ISTA panel at their headquarters in London where he was interviewed along with a number of others for the award and subsequently a few weeks later APS was informed of the accolade that has been bestowed upon him.    

As his prize, Nathan will now have the opportunity to attend a fully expensed steel conference to be held in Barcelona next year.

Having joined in July 2017, Nathan has been actively involved with creating and then developing the steel trader business in the UK alongside our partners Nucor-Trading and has now sold in the region of 35’000 tonnes of strip mill product into the steel service centre market during our initial twelve months of trading.
