Trading Steel In The New Fashioned Way !

APS Metal Pressings Limited have embarked upon a joint project with Nucor-Trading, acting as the sole UK agents for the trading arm of the US steel giant Nucor. A long-term supplier agreement was signed at the end of 2017, which allows APS to act as their representatives within the UK.

In 1905, Ransom E. Olds, creator of the Oldsmobile, had a dispute with stockholders and left his own company – Olds Motor Works. He soon formed REO Motor Company, which evolved into the Nuclear Corporation of America and ultimately Nucor.

Nucor itself, now have a production capacity of in excess of 27 million tonnes and is the largest producer of steel in the United States and we are hopeful that this business relationship will grow over the years to come, enabling us at some stage to take advantage of their economies of scale.
Last month, due to our initial successes, they have now offered us the opportunity to take on their long products profile in addition to the carbon flat products.
