Company History

1970’s:

Our company was founded by Philip Smith in 1970. David Smith joined as a partner in 1976 and we relocated to larger 8,000 ft premises.  

1980’s:

We became limited company, expanded our existing site to 18,000sq ft and installed coil roll feeders.

1990,s:

2 x 4 station Aida transfer line presses were installed along with a 300T Aida progression press and robotic welding facilities.

2000’s:

Our site increased to 57,000 sq ft and our capabilities were enhanced with the addition of a second Aida 300T progression press, a 125T SMV progression press and 600T transfer press. We also installed a 5 x station Chin Fong transfer line and gained TS16949 and ISO14001 certification.

2010’s:

We continued to invest in technology and installed an Aida 150T progression press complete with wire coil feeder together and 6 axis robotic welding facility.
