CBM meets the CBM

As a member of the Confederation of British Metalforming, our MD – Mr Paul Smith and Commercial Manager – Mr Steve Tinley attended their automotive sector meeting held in Malvern on Tuesday 21st November 2016 where they were invited to tour the manufacturing workshop of the Classic British Morgan car company.

A multitude of key note speakers were in attendance, including Rachel Eade MBE – Director of RED and Michael Mychajluk – Supply Chain & External Engagement Manager of JLR , whereby the speeches presented surrounded the question of how to win automotive supply chain work with the OEM’s ?

It will be of the utmost importance moving forward that APS Metal Pressings Limited firstly listen, understand and then provide tier one suppliers with exactly what they want to satisfy the current demands of the OEM, which includes areas such as risk strategies.

Morgan Cars are the oldest family owned automotive manufacturer in the UK and we witnessed presentations from the very successful and volume driven employees of JLR, so you could say that we witnessed first-hand the transformation from the Morgan 4/4 back in the early 20th century to the current 4x4 models developed by JLR !
