1970 Company founded by Philip Smith - press tool and plastic moulding manufacturing (1,000 sq ft)
1975 Relocated to new premises - started producing volume pressings for automotive industry (3,000 sq ft)
1976 David Smith joined company as equal third partner
1978 Relocated to larger premises of 8,000 sq ft
1980 Became a Limited company
1985 Purchased premises with adjacent 18,000 sq ft and incorporated roll feed manufacturing facilities
1987 Achieved all suspension presswork for Rover 200/400 from Delphi (£1.2m t/o p.a.)
1994 Purchased adjacent facility increasing size to 20,000 sq ft. Robotic welding facilities introduced.
1996 Introduction of Aida transfer lines illustrating company's strategy to reinvest for future.
1997 Introduction of Aida Prog-Max press expanding capabilities to 300 ton on progression presswork
1999 Second transfer line which can be combined with existing line to make 8 stations
2001 Addition of second Aida Prog-Max 300 ton press, plus new 125 ton SMV progression press and Aida NCI transfer press (size of site 57,000 sq ft). Appointment of new Managing Director to progress the company through the next stage of growth..
2002 Sales and Marketing Teams established.
2004 Install and commision Aida 600T CNC Transfer Press and spinning equipment to support Delphi/Land Rover air suspension systems.
2006 Installation of 5 station x 200T Chin Fong transfer line. Awarded ISO 14001 Enviromental Management System certificate.
2007 Awarded TS16949 Quality Management System certificate. Installation of new computers and software to control the companys production and accounting systems.
2008 Installation of of 250T blanking press.
